Have you been hearing buzz about “clean” personal care products, but don’t know where to start? You’re not alone!
Avoiding toxin exposure in personal care products is incredibly helpful in optimizing your everyday health! We live in a world with more micro-exposures to toxins than ever before, and it only continues to increase. The good news is, you can protect yourself by swapping to clean, non-toxic products!
The term “clean” can mean a range of different things from “environmentally friendly” to truly “non-toxic.” P.S. anything that is “eco-friendly” or “environmentally friendly” is NOT necessarily better for your health.
The Good Nutrition team has created a comprehensive guide of our favorite non-toxic personal care and beauty products that our team has tested and approved – from skincare, to body care, to hair care and beyond.
This will be a living, breathing resource that we’ll continually update as we fall in love with new trustworthy products.
You will also find some specific language/key words to reference on ingredient lists when looking for products on your own. We hope this resource will empower you to make informed decisions about your home products!
We hope you enjoy!
Pssst… many of these brands and products can be found at two of my favorite “clean beauty” stores: Credo Beauty and The Detox Market. I also love to reference EWG Skin Deep and Gurl Gone Green as additional resources. I have no affiliation with any of these brands or stores (except Amazon), this 100% to make your life easier!
LOOK FOR: mineral, fragrance-free, lightweight, ISDIN, natural, titanium dioxide, zinc oxide, UVA/UVB, non-nano, broad spectrum
EWG is a great resource for sunscreens.
To learn more about non-toxic living options, see our blog post on Non-Toxic Home Guide! As always, please reach out with any questions!
Quick Reminder: there is no way to completely avoid all toxin exposures in our lives – nor do we want to. Even the attempt might make you crazy. What will make a difference, is that you get ALL the knowledge and information you need to feel prepared and empowered to be in control of your own health!

The term “detox” has been exploited as a way to sell diet programs. But is there some truth to it? Do we need to “detox”? The answer, as I typically say with nutrition, is that it depends.
